Getting your direct mail noticed is only half the job. Once you’ve captured someone’s attention, you need to tell them what to do next.
That’s where a strong call to action (CTA) comes in.
Make the next step obvious
Whether you want customers to visit your website, scan a QR code, make a purchase or get in touch, your CTA should be clear and easy to spot.
Avoid vague messaging. Instead of “Find out more”, try something more action-led, such as “Scan to claim your offer” or “Visit us today.”
Keep it simple
Your direct mail has limited space, so don’t overwhelm your audience with multiple competing actions. Focus on one clear next step and make it stand out within your artwork.
A strong CTA can turn a piece of direct mail from something that’s simply read into something that drives action.
Catch their attention. Give them a reason. Tell them what to do next.
