On frankk. the clear zones will be marked in pink on the templates and within the designer, these are the areas that we need left free of any artwork or text. The address clear zone is where we will pull in your recipient information and any mailmark we need to add. Some smaller clear zones, shown in pink with a QR code are to allow for our camera matching codes to ensure all mail is GDPR compliant.
These will be shown in pink on the frankk. design&mail tool and in a multicolored area in our downloadable PDF templates.
This is our camera matching code, to ensure that the correct envelope is matched with the correct letter for GDPR reasons this is super important!
If your recipient were to try and scan the QR code, nothing would load and so this shouldn’t interfere with your artwork.
They are small (as shown by the clear zones) and you have likely seen them before on letters without realising!

When it comes to marketing campaigns, different formats work best for different sectors, our team here at frankk. can offer advice on what works best based on what you are trying to achieve and your sector or audience!
For example, some companies will find a short snappy A6 postcard works great for informing customers of a new store opening or product drop. Whereas, others may see a bigger response from an A4 letter referencing lots of different touch points.

At frankk. we understand the importance of transactional mail and when and where it needs to be used. Letters often work well for transactional mail, giving you, as the sender, maximum space for information. Top tip! Use both sides of the A4 sheet and really get the information across

Want to make an impact as soon as the recipient walks through the door? Something they have to read even if they are walking it to the recycle bin?
Then a postcard is a great option for marketing mail, immediately in sight once the recipient picks up their mail, making it stand out from the usual envelopes they may receive.

Sending something special? Why not try a paper upgrade.
There are different options for different formats, with postcards and greeting cards you can upgrade to a thicker glossier stock, or even a nice uncoated card. For letters, we offer thicker paper than the average to give a more luxurious feel to your mailings!

Confidential mail doesn’t just have to be sent as a letter, with frankk. you can choose our A5 enveloped postcard option, still getting the same coverage and feel as a standard postcard but with the added protection of an envelope to hide any information!
